Observing Korean language classes first-hand; witnessing local students' passion for studying abroad

[BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan — April 8, 2026] – U1 University (President Jung Hyun-yong) visited the "Chungbuk Academy," a local Korean language educational institution in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Wednesday, April 8.

During the visit, U1 University officials observed Korean language classes in action, witnessing firsthand the high academic enthusiasm and deep-seated interest in Korean culture among the local students.

 Following the observation, representatives from U1 University’s Office of International Affairs held an information session. They provided practical details that prospective international students are most interested in, including: Admission procedures and requirements, Extensive scholarship programs, Dormitory facilities and living environments, Career support programs for post-graduation employment in Korea

 President Jung Hyun-yong emphasized the university's commitment to supporting international students, stating, “Beyond simply recruiting students, we plan to drastically strengthen practical welfare—including unconventional scholarship packages, comfortable housing, and customized employment support—to ensure students can settle stably in Korea.”

 He further added, “U1 University will serve as a reliable foundation for the youth of Kyrgyzstan, helping them grow into key talents within Korean society.”
